This coil sits on top of the furnace.  Notice all the dirt and dust that went THROUGH the cheap filter that was used! Cheap filters decrease the lifetime of heating and air conditioning systems and drive up operating costs.

The coil is a vital part of your heating and air conditioning system.  If it is not kept clean, your system will not work efficiently.  Over time the extra stress placed on your system by blocked airflow can cause your system to fail. Keeping the dirt out of the system is the filter's job.  As you can see in this picture, some filters are not up to this job. Using cheap filters can cause results such as the image to the left. Why would you install a very expensive high efficiency, air conditioning system and use cheap filters?  The reason you installed the high efficiency system was probably to save on operating costs.  There is an old saying “Pay me now or pay me later.... big time”.
